I am an academic (English Literature) with an interest in product design. I built a small personal portfolio and submitted here. Lucky for me, one of my products caught attention of a set planner of a film company in Soho, London. They hired me to create replicas of the design. I am still busy. Decided to leave a feedback for other budding artists and academics.

Soon after I completed my study in Interior Design, I decided to submit my portfolio to Paidlancers. I got my first break in exact 19 days when a lovely lady hired me to design her studio. She thought my idea was very fresh. I have since been hired once again through this site, and once through the client's word-of-mouth. I am hoping for more.

I trained to be a florist by working at a franchise. I was hired by a client through Paidlancers after the PL team supported me in tweaking my page. The support really helped my profile. Until then, I didn't believe clients would hire newcomers with very little experience. I now call myself a professional.

I got my first acting break through this platform when I responded to a TV soap director's request for an entry-level actress. The director is now extending my contract for another year. There is nothing to complain. I encourage newcomers to submit their portfolio.
